Telangana CM congratulates Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace on Vikram-1 successful test flight

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy congratulated Hyderabad-based space-tech startup Skyroot Aerospace on the successful test flight of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed orbital rocket, under Mission Aagaman on Saturday (July 18, 2026).
He said that the success is a historic milestone for the country’s space sector and a moment of immense pride for Telangana.
Mr. Reddy recalled that he flagged off transportation of the space-tech startup’s orbital rocket Vikram-I flight hardware to Satish Dawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in April this year, and said that the successful test launch marks a defining milestone in Telangana’s journey towards becoming a global hub for aerospace and space technology.
