Self-enumeration awareness campaign rally in Krishnagiri

Collector C. Dinesh Kumar flagged off the awareness campaign rally encouraging self-enumeration in Census 2027, here on Tuesday (July 21, 2026).

The rally was flagged off from Krishnagiri Government Arts College for women and over 500 students from schools and colleges took part. The rally wound through Rayakottai underbridge, and Krishnagiri municipality before concluding at the college campus.

According to the administration, the focus is to increase the number of self-enumerations to facilitate the Census process. A series of awareness campaigns is being planned to help residents opt for self-enumeration.

The self-enumeration process that commenced on July 17 will continue till July 31. The head of family may log into https://se.census.gov.in using their mobile phone number and fill up 33 basic questions in the portal. Upon completion, a SE ID would be issued, which will have to be shared with the Census enumerators during their visit.

The Collector Dinesh Kumar has urged the public to opt for the self-enumeration facility in order to simplify the process.
