Ripponpet Police trace parents of abandoned newborn

The Ripponpet police initiated an investigation after a newborn infant was discovered abandoned in a public area earlier this week. Law enforcement officers collaborated with health workers and local Anganwadi centers to track recent births registered in the surrounding villages.

Through a process of elimination and verification of hospital discharge summaries, officials traced the biological parents to a nearby settlement. The parents were taken into custody for questioning to determine the circumstances that led to the child being left unattended.

The infant is currently receiving medical care at a local government hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Authorities have stated that legal proceedings will follow in accordance with the Juvenile Justice Act to ensure the safety and welfare of the child.
