The Rajasthan government recently formalised partnerships with 32 diverse institutions, including research organizations and agricultural universities, to promote natural and organic farming across the state. These agreements are designed to facilitate knowledge sharing, research development, and the implementation of eco-friendly farming techniques among local agricultural communities.
Under the terms of these MoUs, the partnering institutions will assist the state in developing quality standards and certification processes for organic produce. Officials noted that the initiative focuses on reducing the reliance on chemical fertilizers while enhancing soil health and long-term agricultural productivity through scientific interventions.
Additionally, the pacts aim to bridge the gap between farmers and global markets by establishing better supply chains and branding for Rajasthan's organic goods. The state government expects these strategic alliances to significantly increase the income of rural households by tapping into the growing demand for natural food products.
