Order issued for additional 120 Plus One batches in Malabar

The government has issued an order sanctioning 120 additional batches to address shortage of Plus One higher secondary seats in Malabar.

The maximum number of batches (60) is in Malappuram. Palakkad has got 30 batches, Kozhikode 20, and Kasaragod 10. As many as 60 students will be admitted to each batch. With this, 7,200 students will be able to enroll in Plus One courses in these districts.

Minister for General Education N. Samsudheen had earlier said in the Assembly that the government was considering sanctioning additional batches to address shortage of Plus One seats in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kasaragod districts. The United Democratic Front manifesto too had promised sanctioning of Plus One seats as per requirement.
