NCP (SP) leader Eknath Khadse admits Delhi visit, but says will remain with Sharad Pawar

Eknath Khadse, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), addressed recent media speculation following his visit to the national capital. While acknowledging the trip, Khadse clarified that his political alignment remains unchanged and he holds no intention of rejoining his former party.

Addressing the rumors, Khadse emphasized his long-term commitment to the veteran leader Sharad Pawar. He noted that while some of his supporters or party workers might express an interest in a shift toward the BJP, he personally remains firm in his decision to stay within the NCP (SP) fold for the remainder of his career.

The clarification comes amid shifting political dynamics in Maharashtra following recent electoral cycles. Khadse, who moved to the NCP in 2020 after a long tenure with the BJP, sought to put an end to the narrative that his Delhi visit signaled a potential homecoming to the ruling coalition.

"I want to make it clear that I have no interest in joining the BJP now. I am with Sharad Pawar and will remain with him till the end," he asserted, as reported by the news source.
