The Government has listed five Bills for Monsoon Session; no mention of delimitation legislation

The Centre will begin the Monsoon Session of Parliament on Monday (July 20, 2026) with a move to grant statutory protection to the National Song Vande Mataram., listing the Prevention of Insults to National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
The other new Bills listed by the government are the Income Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026; the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026; and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026.

Bill to hike number of SC judges to be introduced in Lok Sabha on Monday
A Bill to replace an ordinance which increased the number of Supreme Court judges from 34 to 38 including the Chief Justice of India is listed for introduction in the Lok Sabha for Monday.
In May, the Union Cabinet had cleared a Bill to increase the sanctioned strength of the top court, but soon thereafter the government brought an ordinance.
After the ordinance, five judges were appointed to the apex court based on upgraded sanctioned strength.
The proposed Bill does not require an amendment to the Constitution and requires a simple majority for passage.
