Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday said that the State government was committed to transforming Telangana into a ‘State without huts’ by providing permanent housing assistance to every eligible poor family.

Along with IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, he laid the foundation stone for road construction and strengthening works worth ₹185.15 crore in the Parigi Assembly constituency.

Addressing a public meeting in Parigi, Mr. Venkat Reddy said that ₹900 crore had been sanctioned for road development in Vikarabad district.

He also highlighted the State government’s welfare measures, including the issuance of ration cards, distribution of fine rice and subsidised LPG cylinders.

Mr. Komatireddy said that the government had addressed youth unemployment by conducting Group-I, Group-II and other recruitment examinations, resulting in employment opportunities for 67,773 candidates. He also assured that work on the Lakshmidevipalli Project would be expedited and completed at the earliest.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sridhar Babu said that efforts would be made to establish industries in the Parigi region to generate employment for local youth.

Parigi MLA T. Ram Mohan Reddy urged the government to encourage industrial investments in the constituency and sought financial support for widening key two-lane roads into four-lane roads.

Legislative Council Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy, Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah, District Collector Deepak Tiwari, Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Umashankar Prasad, Additional Collector (Revenue) E. Venkatachari and other officials were present.
