Working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao admitted that some mistakes had taken place in the matter of youth during the two terms of the party’s rule but assured that it would not commit them again and that he would take the responsibility to fulfil the promises.
Addressing a youth meet ‘Yuva Sangrama Sadassu’ here on Saturday to expose the government’s alleged failure to fill the jobs, he asked the Congress government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to prove that they had issued a notification to fill 70,000 jobs and filled them after all processes.
“I will quit politics forever if the Congress government proves that it has filled 70,000 jobs (government) after issuing notifications to fill them”, Mr. Rama Rao said and explained that the government had filled only 16,978 jobs, including those filled by issuing re-notifications in place of the ones issued by the BRS government. The government had filled only about 10,000 jobs by issuing fresh notifications.

Alleging that different Congress leaders were speaking in different tones in the matter of filling 2 lakh jobs every year reflecting their non-seriousness, Mr. Rama Rao said that during the two terms of the BRS, they had issued notifications for 2,32,308 jobs and filled 1,60,083 jobs after completing all processes. In the private sector, they had created 26 lakh jobs, including increasing the IT jobs from 3.6 lakh to over 9 lakh during 2014-23.
“Instead of filling jobs as promised and helping the youth, the Revanth Reddy government was filling up the coffers of his relatives,” he alleged. He also criticised AICC leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and others for making false promises to the youth but never taking pains to get them implemented.
The meeting was attended by several legislators and other leaders of the BRS, including Shambipur Raju, D. Sudheer Reddy, P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, T. Srinivas Yadav, D.S. Redya Naik.
