TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee was suspended from the Lok Sabha for the remainder of the ongoing session after two women MPs complained to Speaker Om Birla that he had used abusive language against them. Following the suspension, Banerjee was barred from entering the House premises for the rest of the session. He was later taken to meet the Speaker by fellow TMC MPs for a hearing.
