HDFC Bank top brass get hefty FY26 pay hikes; Deputy MD's ₹17.14 crore pay package tops CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan's
HDFC Bank has implemented significant salary increases for its top executive team during the 2024-25 fiscal year. Notably, the Deputy Managing Director's compensation package has surpassed that of the bank's Chief Executive Officer.
HDFC Bank's latest financial disclosures reveal a substantial rise in executive compensation for the top brass. While Managing Director and CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan maintained a basic salary of ₹3.09 crore, his total earnings were bolstered by a performance bonus that increased by approximately 35 percent.
Despite the CEO's bonus surge, Deputy Managing Director Kaizad Bharucha emerged as the highest-paid official at the lender. Bharucha's total remuneration package reached ₹17.14 crore, positioning his earnings above those of the bank's head for the specified period.
These salary adjustments reflect the bank's performance metrics and the board's decisions regarding leadership incentives. The data highlights a trend of high-value retention and performance-linked pay structures within India's largest private sector bank.
