Government to set up fast-track courts for paper leak cases, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday (July 23, 2026) that the government has decided to set up fast-track courts for paper leak cases. Mr. Modi stated in a post on X, “We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks,” in his first direct comments tied to major protests by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on NEET-UG paper leak.

These courts will be akin to the MP/MLA fast-track courts.

PM Modi added that he directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard.

Mr. Modi said in his X post, “This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students.”

He further said, “Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.”
