"Forced To Work For 15 Hours, Not Paid For 3 Months": Hyderabad Woman Stuck In Oman
A woman from Hyderabad has sent an urgent plea for help after becoming trapped in Oman under abusive working conditions. Shabnam Begum alleges that she is being forced to work 15-hour shifts without pay and is being denied her return to India.

Shabnam Begum, a resident of Hyderabad, traveled to Oman on March 26 after being promised a stable job as a housemaid by a local recruitment agent. Upon arrival, however, she reports that her employer confiscated her passport and forced her into grueling labor routines.
According to her statement, Begum has not received a salary for the past three months and is required to work more than 15 hours every day. She further alleges that her employer has demanded a payment of 2 lakh rupees in exchange for her release and return to India.
The victim's family has reached out to authorities, seeking government intervention to facilitate her rescue. They claim the recruitment agent misled her regarding the nature of the employment and international labor protections. Source: NDTV
