Family of four found dead in Hunsur
The bodies of four members of a family, including two children, were found at a residential layout in Hunsur town of Mysuru district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Harish (42), his wife Nishchita (34), and their daughters Niksha (12) and Raksha (8).
Harish was engaged in real estate and other businesses, according to the police. Harish’s body was allegedly found hanging in the house located in New Maruti Layout in the town.
Superintendent of Police Mallikarjuna Baladandi said preliminary investigation suggests that Harish allegedly killed his wife and two children before dying by suicide. “The mouths and noses of the three victims were covered with adhesive plaster, apparently to suffocate them,” the SP said, adding that the exact cause of death would be confirmed after investigations are completed.
The police said the motive behind the incident is under investigation.
The Hunsur police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the deaths.
