A 28-year-old man in Gurugram has been taken into custody for the alleged murder of his wife following a physical altercation triggered by a disagreement over dinner. The incident occurred at their residence while the suspect was reportedly in an inebriated state.
Following the woman's death, the accused allegedly attempted to mislead investigators by claiming that his wife had passed away due to overconsumption of alcohol. He maintained this narrative until medical evidence suggested otherwise during the primary investigation.
A subsequent post-mortem report conducted by medical experts revealed that the cause of death was manual strangulation, contradicting the suspect's initial statement. Based on these findings and further questioning, local authorities formally charged the man with murder.
