CJP protest day 23: Wangchuk’s health worsens as fast enters 15th day
Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike has entered its 15th day as part of the ongoing Climate Justice Peace protest. Medical reports indicate his health is deteriorating significantly on the 23rd day of the overall demonstration.

Environment activist Sonam Wangchuk continues his indefinite fast in Ladakh to demand statehood and constitutional protections under the Sixth Schedule. As the hunger strike crosses the two-week mark, supporters have expressed growing concern over his declining physical condition and vital signs.
The protest, which has reached its 23rd consecutive day, remains centered on the preservation of the Himalayan ecosystem and the democratic rights of the region's population. Organizers have maintained a peaceful presence despite the physical toll on the participants.
The CJP stated that several political leaders and public intellectuals were scheduled to visit the protest site during the day to express solidarity with the agitation. These delegates aim to bring national attention to the specific environmental and administrative grievances raised by the local community.
