Bulgaria Approves US Use Of Bezmer Air Base For Middle East Support
The Bulgarian government has authorized the temporary deployment of United States military assets to Bezmer Air Base to support operations in the Middle East. This strategic move allows for an increased American presence in the region through the month of October.

Up to eight United States tanker aircraft and approximately 250 military personnel are scheduled to be stationed at Bezmer Air Base starting this Friday. The deployment is part of a broader logistical effort to provide refueling and support capabilities for ongoing missions across the Middle East.
The authorization from the Bulgarian cabinet permits these assets to remain at the facility through October without the requirement for further legislative approvals. This agreement underscores the logistical cooperation between the two NATO allies during a period of heightened regional activity.
