The bodies of the 15 Indian nationals were flown into Chennai and other domestic hubs via a special flight following the completion of administrative and forensic formalities in Vietnam. The victims were part of a tour group involved in a maritime incident that has drawn international attention to excursion safety standards.

Regional data reveals that ten of the deceased were residents of Tamil Nadu, three were from Andhra Pradesh, and two were from Kerala. State officials were present at the airports to receive the remains and facilitate their final transport to their home districts for grieving families.
