Assam Floods: 10 More Deaths In 24 Hours; Over 6 Lakh People Affected

At least ten people, including four children, have died due to flood-related incidents in the last 24 hours. The disaster has reached a critical stage with more than 6 lakh individuals situated in affected zones as the state grapples with severe monsoon rains.

Relief operations are currently underway as authorities work to evacuate those stranded in submerged villages. Numerous relief camps have been established to provide food, medicine, and shelter to thousands of displaced families seeking safety from the rising discharges of major rivers.

The infrastructure damage remains extensive, with several roads, bridges, and embankments being breached by the current. Local administrations are monitoring the water levels of the Brahmaputra and its tributaries, which are flowing above the danger mark in multiple locations.
