An organ donation awareness walk saw the participation of around 3,000 people in Nellore on Thursday, August 13, 2026. The event, held on World Organ Donation Day, was organized by Narayana Medical College and Hospital with the objective of raising public awareness about the importance of donating organs.

Municipal Commissioner Y.O. Nandan, District Medical and Health Officer V. Sujatha, and Narayana Medical College Dean P. Srinivasulu Reddy initiated the walk. Participants included doctors and students from Narayana Medical College, members of the PMP Association, anganwadi and ASHA workers, and local residents.
