Riddhi Thakkar, a 24-year-old woman from Mumbai, died on Wednesday morning in Chhattisgarh after her motorcycle was struck by an unidentified heavy vehicle. The incident occurred around 6 am at Markatola Ghat, on National Highway 30, approximately 100 kilometers from the state capital, Raipur.

Thakkar was traveling with a group of 20 motorcyclists heading towards the Bastar region. Police identified the victim as a resident of Borivali (West) in Mumbai. According to officials, an unidentified heavy vehicle collided with Thakkar's Bajaj Avenger motorcycle, causing her critical injuries. The vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident. Authorities are currently working to locate the vehicle and identify its driver.

Fellow riders alerted emergency services through the Dial 112 helpline. An emergency response vehicle transported Thakkar to the Charama Community Health Centre in the neighboring Kanker district. Her condition worsened, leading to her transfer to a private hospital in Dhamtari district, where she passed away during treatment.
