Lomada Nagendra Sai, an M.Tech graduate from IIT Kharagpur, has secured offers for 13 central government jobs. He has chosen to join the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) and is currently serving as the branch manager in Mahabubnagar, Telangana. Sai completed his secondary education in Kadapa, pursued intermediate studies in Hyderabad, and earned his integrated B.Tech-M.Tech degree in industrial and systems engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

Initially, Sai pursued campus placements, but the impact of COVID-19 on the IT sector led him to explore government service. He began preparing for competitive examinations in June 2022. His father, a retired personnel manager, and his mother, a teacher, influenced his inclination towards government jobs. Despite an initial setback in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) mains examination, Sai persevered through further preparation.

Over the past three years, Sai participated in over thirty examinations, including those for the SSC, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Indian Navy, AIIMS, Indian Railways, and Indian Coast Guard. He ultimately qualified for 13 central government positions before selecting the ESIC role. Sai commenced his role as branch manager in Mahabubnagar in February 2026. He stated that he preferred public service and peace of mind over the higher remuneration offered in the IT sector.

Sai was recently honored at a public event in Kadapa, where he was recognized for his persistence. He encouraged young individuals to consider the numerous government employment opportunities available beyond traditional campus placements.
