A 26-year-old police constable was discovered dead in the restroom of an assistant commissioner of police (ACP) office in L.B. Nagar, Hyderabad. The body was found hanging in the restroom around 2:30 AM on Wednesday. Police personnel who found him transported him to Kamineni Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The constable was assigned to the ACP office for e-COPS duty and had been working night shifts. Officials stated that prima facie, the death appears to be a suicide. However, the constable's family members have raised suspicions of foul play and demanded a thorough investigation.

Family members arriving at the station expressed disbelief in the suicide theory, pointing to alleged bloodstains in the restroom and demanding an explanation. The constable's mother alleged he may have been tortured, questioning the absence of CCTV cameras in the room and the circumstances surrounding his death.

The deceased hailed from Bandalemuru village in Ranga Reddy district and resided with friends a kilometer from the station. A police official described him as a quiet individual with no apparent signs of stress or family-related issues, noting he attended duty on Tuesday without complaint.

A case of suspicious death has been registered at the L.B. Nagar police station. Senior police officials visited the station to investigate the circumstances. The constable's body was sent to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Tension arose outside the L.B. Nagar police station as the constable's family and villagers protested, with some individuals allegedly damaging a computer and a printer inside the station. Additional police personnel were deployed to manage the situation.

L.B. Nagar Deputy Commissioner of Police Anuradha conducted an inspection and made inquiries at the station.
