As part of a road safety initiative, authorities in Chittoor district distributed 1,000 helmets to motorcycle riders on Friday, August 14, 2026. The event was organized under the ‘Surakshitha Chittoor–Mee Bhadhratha Maa Badhyatha’ campaign.

District Collector Sumit Kumar and Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi inaugurated the helmet distribution and a large motorcycle rally. The rally commenced at Ammapalli Cross in Karvetinagar mandal and proceeded to the Karvetinagar police station junction. Riders, equipped with helmets, participated in the rally to promote awareness about safe driving practices and the importance of helmet usage.
